Validity and Timeline
The BIS License for electronic products is valid for a minimum of two years. The licensee is eligible to apply for the renewal of the license 90 days before the license's expiration. The license will expire if the renewal application, along with the price, is not received within ninety days.
If the test report, application form, and all other documents are in correct format and meet BIS requirements, the license will be issued within 20 days of the application date. If the documentation and conformity are not satisfactory in the first instance, the BIS officer will give you a rejection notice if the deficiency is not rectified within 30 days.
