On February 25, 2020, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, through the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), issued the Toys (Quality Control) Order, 2020. This regulatory measure is designed to ensure that non-electric toys produced, imported, or sold in India meet stringent quality and safety standards, thereby aligning with Indian regulatory requirements and safeguarding public interest.
