In a significant move to uphold quality and safety standards in infrastructure and utility services, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade) issued the Centrifugally Cast (Spun) Iron Pipes (Quality Control) Order, 2021 on 12th January 2021.

This order mandates that Hubless centrifugally cast (Spun) iron pipes, fittings and accessories – Spigot series must comply with Indian Standard IS 15905: 2011 and bear the ISI Mark, ensuring product consistency, reliability, and public safety.
