This order mandates that centrifugally cast (spun) iron pressure pipes used for water, gas, and sewage applications must comply with Indian Standard IS 1536:2001 and bear the ISI Mark, ensuring product consistency, reliability, and public safety.

Exemptions: Products manufactured exclusively for export are exempt from the scope of this Quality Control Order.
