Extension of Concurrent Running Period for IS 302-1: 2008 and IS 302 (Part 1): 2024

In an important update for the
electrical appliances industry, the Central
Marks Department-III has issued a notification on 29 November 2024, for safety of household and similar electrical
appliances part 1 general requirements extending the concurrent running period
for two safety standards: IS 302-1: 2008
and the revised IS 302 (Part 1):
2024/IEC 60335-1: 2020.
This extension provides manufacturers
and stakeholders additional time to transition to the updated safety standards
for household and similar electrical appliances.
