·       For small enterprises, the compliance timeline is extended to nine months from the date of publication (2^nd February 2025).

·       Micro enterprises have the longest lead time, with the order becoming mandatory twelve months after its publication (2^nd May 2025). 

2. Mandatory BIS Certification

The core requirement of this order is the compulsory use of the BIS Standard Mark (ISI Mark). All Telescopic Ball Bearing Drawer Slides sold or distributed in the Indian market must conform to the Indian Standard IS 17954:2023 and carry the BIS certification.
