BEE – Star Label Testing
Bee- star label testing facility is to evaluate the product’s quality and energy efficiency. BEE would conduct random sampling on the market for the testing process and would check any model from the market. If the first model fails, BEE would check two other samples from the market of the same type and hold them for witness testing. The client would be told any type of error and the second test would be asked to observe.
If the user of the label is unable to provide a sample for the second check test, then the first sample test will be considered as final and binding on the label’s user. In the event that the two samples collected for the second test are also inadequate. IAME will inform all State Designated Agencies that the permit will be given within two months.
(i) Correct the star rating shown on the product label or delete any defects and deficiencies found during testing;
(ii) withdraw all stocks from the market in compliance with the Bureau’s directions; and
(iii) change the details shown on the advertising material.
BEE will publish the name of any license, brand name, model name or model number, logo and other specifications for the benefit of customers in any national or regional daily newspaper and in any digital or other manner as it deems necessary within two months.
